The purpose of the redesign of the house was to reduce the original mass to the height of the surrounding buildings, where there are mainly single-story buildings.
Another goal was to simplify the layout solution - connecting the floors and adjusting the clear heights (raumplan). The windows were placed in the context of views through the house - illumination of the house.
A complete change of layout is on the second floor - removal of unnecessary storage spaces, which have been replaced by a living room. The wish of the investor was a gallery that was created around the staircase.

The original curved reinforced concrete staircase was replaced by a simple straight open staircase.
The truss system was replaced by a rafter system - this enabled the creation of a high open space above the gallery.
The original construction system of the ceiling (beams) was replaced by a continuous plate with a height of 200 mm - this created a clean suspended ceiling in the kitchen and other living rooms without high beams across the building.
These changes in mass and structural solution led to a significant reduction in the financial costs of the building - by approximately 25%.

- mass volume: 1050 m3
- expected price cca 6,3 mil.
- height of lower mass: +3,900
- storage areas
- curved reinforced concrete staircase
- high drafts across the building
