urban-architectural study
Adam Bednařík, Jan Šefl
The original assignment of the architectural study wasapartment buildingof three housing units, which was to be located on the lower lot of the investor. It limited urban solutionsaccess roadon the northwest side of the plot of the family house (above the plot) as part of its maintenance and availability. According to the zoning plan, it was also possible to design a building with an area of approx. 306 square meters, respecting the original street line - i.e., the territory was quite limiting. For this reason, the original architectural plan was changed to a design of an object with two residential units.
As part of the mass solution, there was an effort for maximum sunshine throughout the day. The resulting mass was therefore divided into two smaller masses, which were pushed apart. This provided both object with natural lighting and natural ventilation of the hygienic rooms. As part of the layout, two separate entrances could be created.
From the dispositional point of view, both houses are divided into two zones (floors) - social x rest . The quiet zone is always defined by the second floor, where there are bedrooms and children's rooms. The social (day) zone is intended for the ground floor.
Each house has two tall windows facing each other on the ground floor. This ensures a view through the entire house and optically enlarges the interior. In addition, the house is more connected with the exterior - the terrace.
